Attached Picture Display Window

see picture of application screen

The Attached Picture Window is a readonly display window that displays the picture associated with the currently selected record.

You can move to this window by clicking in the window or by tabbing to the window or by using the Alt-A (A for Attached) shortcut.

When the picture is larger than the display window, the Picture Display Window box is framed by scroll bars that may be used to scroll around the picture. Normal cursor movement keys (cursor arrows, page up/down, and home/end) may also be used to scroll the picture. You may also use a drag action (click and hold the left mouse button while moving the mouse) with the mouse to scroll the picture around.

If you double click or press the Insert key in the Picture Display Window (when a picture is being displayed), then the associated picture editor will be opened with the current picture ready for editing. If no Picture Editor is specified (see User Settings), then the Windows MSPaint will be used (if found). If no editor can be found, then the user will be prompted to browse for an editor. While the picture editor is running, PCHi-Note will not be accessable. You may now edit the bitmap image. Save any changes that you have made to the picture. Do not change the name of the picture, otherwise the changes will not be imported back into PCHi-Note. The exit the picture editor to return to PCHi-Note.

NOTE : Some image editors may not operate correctly in conjunction with PCHi-Note. Such programs include the program PBrush.EXE which is just a stub program provided for backward compatibility that indirectly executes MSPaint, and as such won’t operate correctly.

Note : If the record is ReadOnly, then the attached picture and its title cannot be edited (obviously).
